Congratulations to Avery Pro-Staff Members Field Hudnall, Bernie Boyle and Sean Hammock

As many of you are aware, it has been many months since there have been any significant updates to our website. In this time, some of our Pro-Staff Members have achieved unbelievable success in the world of competition calling. Namely, Avery Pro-Staff members claimed the World Duck and the World Goose Calling Championships as well as the 2004 CF Open Goose Calling Championship. Thankfully, our forums have allowed both Avery employees and the public to offer congratulations, but we wanted to offer congratulations to three of these men who have achieved the pinnacle of calling success.

Field Hudnall
In November, Avery Pro-Staff Member Field Hudnall topped an incredible field of callers to claim the 2004 World Goose Calling Championship. To those of us who have been watching the standings from the 2004 open contests it came as no surprise, as Field was holding a firm fourth place in Avery WorldWide standings. Other callers in the top five (listed in order of placement) were Avery Pro-Staff Member Scott Threinen, Hunter Grounds, Kyle Rinella and Avery Pro-Staff Member Sean Hammock. Finishing in the top five of such a contest is an achievement of a lifetime, and we are proud to have Field, Scott and Sean on our team.

Seemingly before the dust had settled, Field claimed the first big win of 2005 at the International in Marion, Illinois. Once again an extremely talented field of callers competed for top honors, and Field took the title. Others finishing in the top five (in order of placement) were Avery Pro-Staff Member Kelly Ross, Hunter Grounds, Ben Stoner and Randy LaNeve. Again, a big congratulations to all of those in the top five, and a special thanks to Field and Kelly for being a part of Avery.

Bernie Boyle
Also back in November of 2004, Avery Pro-Staff Member Bernie Boyle claimed top honors in the 69th annual World Duck Calling Championship. This was Bernie’s second World Duck Calling title, but according to him it was his most exciting win to date. To win this title, Bernie bested a field of 68 champion callers who qualified for the 2004 World Duck Calling Championship by winning a State or Regional Calling Championship. One such champion was 2003 World Duck Calling Champion and Avery Pro-Staff Member Todd Copley, who claimed sixth place at the event. We at Avery are humbled that such a dynamic caller chose the Avery team.

Sean Hammock
Another champion worthy of special note is Avery Pro-Staff Member Sean Hammock. In December of 2004 Sean bested one of the finest fields in the history of goose calling to claim the 2004 CF Open Goose Calling Championship. In the first round, Sean tied Avery Pro-Staff member Scott Threinen for the lead, but took control in round two and never looked back. Sean now sits in sixth place in the Avery WorldWide standings, and we wish him even more success in 2005.
