Heading Home! - Day 5
Saskatchewan, October 10, 2003
By Shawn Stahl, Associate Avery® Pro-Staffer

DATE: Friday, October 10, 2003
LOCATION: West Central Manitoba
SUNRISE: 7:13 a.m.
WEATHER: Cloudy overcast with occasional showers
TEMPERATURE: Low of 40, High of 77
WIND: Light out of the South west.
EQUIPMENT USED: Greenhead Gear® Full Bodies, Migrator™ Blinds, Greenhead Gear® Over-Size Series™ Canada Goose Shells, Zink Calls RH-1 Goose Calls.
HUNTERS: Cameron Johnson, Joel Wesmoland, Lance Ricketts and Cameraman - Bric Steward
JOURNAL NOTES: Travel day home but because of the conditions we decided to give it a shot for a couple hours before hitting the road. Full moon and high temps still keeping the a.m. waterfowl movements to a minimum. We picked up early to start the journey home and as luck would have it, just as the geese began to fly. The plowed field with little cover made conditions ideal for Power Hunter Blinds. Shot 15 Canada geese, mostly lessers.
